SEQUENCE OF ACTIVITIES.
We are a community based Organization with a difference.
This is because; the Centre is owned and run by the youth, for
benefit of the whole community. We have several activities that
go on in our centre. They include:
Typing,
printing, browsing services:
We offer the above mentioned services to our clients at a
fee in order to sustain the centre.
Training of
computer packages:
The centre is after eradicating computer illiteracy by
training the people on how computers operate and how they can
use the packages in various sectors of their lives.
Voluntary
programs:
Most high school and colleges leavers prefer to serve
clients at the centre instead of idling at home. We have
therefore registered them into our voluntary program.
Research
and Study Centre
The centre serves every person irrespective of age. Most of
its clients are university students who use the internet for
research purposes, while others prefer to set books and story
books online.
Job
Outsourcing Centre
Through our partners, when companies need to market their
products, most of the time we are the first ones to be
contacted. For example, Popote wireless took 30 youths from our
area to do marketing for their wireless phones when they just
arrived in the market.
Data base
Centre for Schools:
We are a database centre for two schools in our area namely;
Kimathi Primary School and Dr.Livingstone Primary School. We
have a record of all their students. After end and midterm
exams, we key in their results for them, then tally their
positions and finally come up with a print out for each
individual class. This kind of presentation is neat and
presentable to parents.
Security
Pay Point and Estate Welfare Office:
The centre is responsible for all the estate guards’ salary.
We have up to 356 houses in Kimathi and each month, each house
pays Sh.400 at the centre for their security. This money is used
to pay the guards, purchase uniform and torches for them and
even for their general welfare.
We are also the focal office for any matters arising in the
estate that need to be addressed.
Notice
board Facility
The centre has a notice board that allows anyone to put up
an advert for a specified period of time at sh.50/week/advert.
